Hi, I’m Austin Wilson, Chief Investment Officer and newest Partner at Hixon Zuercher Capital Management!

If you’ve ever wondered who actually enjoys digging into the weeds of the stock market, researching companies, and watching real-time economic data for fun… well, consider me that guy!

Let’s be real… does the world need another finance blog? Maybe not.

But is Inspired Investing just “another” blog? Absolutely not!

My blog is here to help you use your money well… To help you build and protect your wealth.

Here at Hixon Zuercher, we’re committed to one mission: stewarding generational wealth. That’s exactly what this blog is built for.

You’ll be sure to find practical insights, proven strategies, and enough lightheartedness to keep things enjoyable. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to keep the lectures at a minimum so that what you read here is relevant, useful, and free of the boring fluff you never asked for. And there will 100% be a dad joke or pun here and there.

So the name… Why Inspired Investing?

We chose this name because growing wealth isn’t hopping on every trend or rolling the dice with your future. It’s about using proven principles that help your investments thrive in the real world.

My hope is that you’ll find a steady voice here at my page. Something that cuts through the noise, nudges you toward smarter decisions, or even sparks a question you never thought to ask. To invest smarter, to live inspired.

I get up each and every day, loving what I do.

Investments, portfolios, the economic ups and downs give me learning opportunities at every turn.

And while you won’t catch me giving tax advice, when it comes to growing your portfolio, trust that I’m in your corner always!

This blog is here for everyone: clients of Hixon Zuercher, non-clients, friends, strangers, or anyone eager to learn and enhance their financial chops.

To keep things straightforward and focus on what works, here are a few core principles that guide my thinking as a portfolio manager (and they’ll guide this blog too):

  • Keep it simple. Most fancy financial products are just noise. Stocks, a few bonds, and maybe some cash can help your wealth grow the right way.
  • Make decisions and take action. Overthinking can stall your momentum.
  • But also, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Sometimes, the best move is to sit tight and let your plan work.
  • Think long-term. Markets bounce around, but the day-to-day moves are not worth getting hung up on when your goal is often years away.

Along the way, I’ll spotlight companies and trends that can help your wealth grow and break down big-picture topics like interest rates and inflation. You’ll get clear, practical advice to help you move forward, grow your money, and yes, protect it enough to keep your goals on track, without losing sleep.
